Rhodesian Pools and Places

Rhodesian aquatic sports benefited from their British Empire roots, and was always a power in South African aquatic sports. The country was a province in South African sports, and hosted its first South African swimming championships and Currie Cup water polo tournament in 1922, in the capital Salisbury. There were many schools with excellent swimming pools, while some open water swimming was even held in the Kariba dam.
