The College has benefited from a close association with former College teacher and now coach Wayne Ridden of the Seals Swimming Club in Pietermaritzburg. Few schools can boast such a collection of internationals: Tut Marwick was a Springbok diver who competed at the 1958 Empire Games, where he finished 5th in the 3m event. Tich McLachlan was also selected for the Springbok team as a swimmer, winning Bronze in the 1650 yards freestyle. 

Other Springboks include Jackie Wiid - swimming 1948, Cedric Savage - water polo, Ricky Colepepper - swimming, Terry Duveen - diving 1969, Neil Duveen diving 1969, Rory Mapstone - swimming 1984, Keith Armstrong - swimming 1984, Darryl Cronje - swimming 1992, Greg Maine-Baillie swimming 1997, Brendon Dedekind - swimming 1997. Darian Townsend at the 2004 Athens Olympics, and again in 2012.
